DemeCAPRONE suture (Polyglecaprone 25) is a synthetic, absorbable monofilament suture composed of a copolymer of poly(glycolic-co-caprolactone) (PGCL). DemeCAPRONE (Polyglecaprone 25) surgical suture meets the requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for synthetic absorbable surgical sutures with regard to length, needle fixation strength, and knot tensile strength.
